So, yesterday was my birthday. Unfortunately as an adult I spent most of the day working. I'm thankful I'm working but still, when it's my birthday I just don't want to do anything. But I still managed to celebrate it at night. I don't really like large gatherings so I always only celebrate with my mom and my bf.

He gave me such a wonderful gift. He got me a themed Ghibli painting book I wanted and neopets stickers! Check them out below~

We had pre-ordered snacks for the party, my favorite ones. It had been years since I'd last eaten them. Unfortunately, 2 hours before the party began they told me they wouldn't be able to deliver. I was very disappointed. It was like, of course, it's my birthday so things can't work out... My mom was upset as well, but we were more worried about the cake (it was a package). Then we remembered another place we had ordered from in the past. They told us it was possible, they could prepare everything and deliver to us. We changed plans but everything worked out in the end! Thankfully. Honestly, if we couldn't do it I'd prob order some pizza. Although having no cake would be unfortunate...

At 8pm we started the party. We always have a hard time choosing something to watch because we have different tastes xD We managed to agree that it'd be nice to watch a concert or something we could leave in the background. Since it's MY day I chose a Duran Duran concert. It's such a great one and it was perfect for the party. The songs are upbeat and they have great stage presence. My mom and my bf aren't really fans but they loved the songs! It was a great choice. My mom recalled some bands she saw live back in her ol' days. She saw the b52's and Tears For Fears live I'm so jealous!! My mom doesn't even stan smh lmao She's a classic rock girlie~

The food was awesome, the cake was PERFECT! In the end everything worked out, we had a great time. Yup I'm turning 29, oldge. A part of me is like 'wow almost 30... i'm dead already', but at the same time I'm like... I managed to get to 29. Healthy enough, with a home, everything I need to get by... So I'm thankful! Time flies by, so I have to enjoy right? I believe we only have one life, one chance. Therefore I'll enjoy while I can xD
